Chlor-Alkali Electrolysis

Pumps for the Chlor-Alkali Electrolysis

Brochures

Chlor-alkali electrolysis is one of the most important processes in the chemical industry and provides the basic chemicals chlorine (Cl2), caustic soda (NaOH) and hydrogen (H2). Three processes have been implemented on an industrial scale – the amalgam process, the diaphragm process and the membrane process – into which the Rheinhütte Pumpen Division delivers its special pumps.

Rheinhütte Pumpen is represented by its products in all stages of the chlor-alkali electrolysis process. In this both the construction of the pumps specifically for the medium and also the right material for the pump’s service life are of significant importance.

Rheinhütte Pumpen has established itself as an experienced pump manufacturer in the chlorine industry - countless metal and plastic pumps are still in operation in chlorine plants all over the world.
